Itinerary
Day 1: From Entebbe to Mburo Lake NP
You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Entebbe and taken to Mburo Lake NP.
Day 2: Mburo Lake NP (boat trip and Game Drive)
At Mburo Lake NP, you will have a guided boat tour and a guided game drive. This national park is known for its zebra population. On the game drive you will be able to enjoy the picturesque landscape with its many hills, rocks and good vantage points.
Day 3: Bird watching (Rubinga Forest)
Today you will take a guided hike through the Rubanga Forest. On this hike there is the possibility to observe many birds.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth NP (boat trip on the Kazinga Channel)
Visit the most popular park in Uganda with Queen Elizabeth Park. Wide savannah landscape, rainforest, lakes and wetlands characterize this park.
On a guided game drive you can observe the typical animals of the African savannah landscape in addition to Impalas and Uganda Kobs.
During a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, aquatic animals can be observed up close.
Day 5: Queen Elisabeth NP (to the tree lions in Ishasha)
After the eventful first day of the trip, we drive on the second day to the tree lions in the Ishasha region of the park.
Alternatively, you can go on a trekking tour in the Kyamba Gorge Game Reserve to a chimpanzee group accustomed to humans.
Day 6: Gorilla-Trekking
More than 300 mountain gorillas live in the rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is about 50% of the world total population. The Bwindi NP is the best accessible park for gorilla watching. In a group of max. 8 people accompanied by guides and trackers will go in search of one of the people accustomed group. To protect the animals, the maximum time for photographing and observing the animals is limited to 30 minutes. Gorilla Trekking Permits need to be booked well in advance and are only valid for one day.
Day 7: Hike through the rainforest
In the Bwindi Impenetrable NP are many beautiful hiking trails where you can watch birds, has beautiful views of the Virungavulkane or can walk to waterfalls. You can also choose which Nature Trail you will hike.
Day 8.-9: Trekking Ruwenzori
For the 2-day stay in the Ruwenzori Mountains, there are several optional walks that we can arrange according to your wishes.
- Full day tour of Karangura Peak
- in the southern Ruwenzori (2 days staying in a tent)
- Buwatha Trail (2 days)
- Ruco Ochi Falls Trail
Day 10: Kibale Forest NP (Chimpanzee-Trekking)
In the two-day stay in the Kibale Forest National Park, you will be able to observe many primates and birds. The Kibale Forest National Park has by far the largest primate density. The park is known for its chimpanzee trekking. On an approximately 2-hour guided hike through the forest, you will most likely be able to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
Day 11: Kibale Forest NP (Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary)
On a hike through open grass and marshland, you can expect excellent bird and monkey observation, especially the Colobus monkey.
Day 12.-13: Murchison Falls NP (boat trip to the Nile waterfalls)
The highlight of their stay will probably be the boat trip to the 43m high waterfalls. During the 17 km long trip up the Nile, numerous waterfowl, such as the rare Shoebill, hippo herds or the great Nile crocodile can be seen.
On a guided game drive on the Buligi track you will be able to observe and photograph the wide range of animals of the Nile Valley. Buffalo herds, elephants, warthogs, Rothschild giraffe and bushbucks live in the Savannah country. With a little luck you can also see the big predators like lion or leopard.
Day 14: Return to Entebbe
